State Rep. Joins Nashville Man on Tennessee stretch of walk for Term Limits
Tonight at 6pm in Murfreesboro
Nashville, TN — “Where Izzy?” Nashville area resident Tim “Izzy” Israel has
been walking across the United States to raise awareness and gain support for congressional term limits. At 6pm today, he will be walking through the Murfreesboro-Smyrna area with state Rep. Mike Sparks (District 49). The two met when Israel presented Sparks with a plaque in recognition of his steadfast support for term limits at the Capitol last week.
Sparks, an adamant term limits supporter, signed the term limits pledge in 2020, in which he vows to vote in support of term limits.
Sparks claims, “Our founding fathers didn’t intend for folks to go to Congress and the Senate worth 100,000 and come out worth millions of dollars serving 30, 40, 50 years.”
At 6pm tonight, the two men will be walking through the Murfreesboro-Smyrna area and encourage others to do the same.
WHEN: May 12, as early as 5:45pm
WHERE: Subway restaurant at 5524 NW Broad St in Murfreesboro
HOW FAR: as little or as much as you can! Join them for one or two miles along route 41 (Florence Road).
