Maricopa County Council Candidate Signs Term Limits Pledge
Surprise, AZ – 2024 Maricopa county board of supervisors candidate, Rob Canterbury, signed the U.S. Term Limits Pledge supporting term limits on all elected county council members. U.S. Term Limits praises Canterbury for his commitment to this important issue.
The county council term limits pledge reads, “I pledge, that as a member of the county council, I will sponsor and vote in favor of county council term limits no longer than 8 years.”
Canterbury says, “If we want to retake our county and pass down Maricopa County worthy enough for our children and grandchildren, we must make changes at the top of our county leadership. I have always supported term limits for every political office in America, including the office that I am running for.”
If elected, Canterbury will be the first Maricopa County Board of Supervisors member to have signed the pledge to term limit the council to eight years.

Our mission is to improve the quality of government with a citizen legislature that closely reflects its constituency and is responsive to the needs of the people it serves. U.S. Term Limits does not require a self-limit on individuals. Our aim is to limit the terms of all members of Congress as an institution. Find out more at termlimits.org.
