New TX-32 Poll: Likely Democratic Party Primary Voters Overwhelmingly Support Term Limits on Congress.
Washington, DC – According to a new poll conducted by RMG Research, an overwhelming 86% of the likely Democratic Primary voters approve of an amendment to the U.S. Constitution that will place term limits on U.S. Senators and U.S. House Representatives.
The poll, which was conducted from November 13-16, also finds that Johnson currently leads the field with 9% of the vote. 74% of Democratic Party primary voters indicated they were undecided. However, when voters were asked who they would support if they knew Brian Williams backed congressional term limits, he leaps from 4% to 34% and Julie Johnson drops from 9% to 6% since voters are more likely to select the term limits candidate.
When asked how many terms members of the U.S. House should serve, 73% indicate they favor term limits of eight years or less.
The survey of 300 registered voters in Texas’ 32nd congressional district was conducted online by RMG Research, Inc. in November 2023 using a representative sample to reflect the district’s population of registered likely Democratic Party primary election voters. It has a margin of error of +/- 5.7 percentage points. RMG Research is owned and operated by Scott Rasmussen.
