Chris Ekstrom Joins U.S. Term Limits Board of Directors
Has Seen The Need For Term Limits At All Levels of Government
Washington, DC – Today, U.S. Term Limits announces entrepreneur and political activist, Chris Ekstrom, has joined its Board of Directors. Ekstrom, founder and president of Ekstrom Properties has seen firsthand the need for term limits at all levels of government. He was a candidate for Congress in the 13th Congressional District in Texas that encompasses Amarillo and Wichita Falls and the Texas State Chair for U.S. Term Limits. Ekstrom will bring his business savvy and political insight to the Board to help U.S. Term Limits pass its number one priority – term limits for Congress.
A newly released national poll by McLaughlin & Associates shows 83% of Americans regardless of political affiliation support congressional term limits. Additionally, two U.S. Term Limits supported term limits amendment proposals have been introduced in Congress. In the House, House Joint Resolution 12, sponsored by Rep. Ralph Norman, has more than 50 co-sponsors listed on the resolution. Once passed by Congress and ratified by the states, would limit Representatives to three terms, or 6 years, and Senators to two terms, or 12 years. In the Senate, Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) filed Senate Joint Resolution 1, a companion resolution to House Joint Resolution 12. It has 15 Senate co-sponsors. There are currently 151 members of Congress who have pledged to support the U.S. Term Limits amendment, the highest-level support ever for this amendment. And numerous state legislatures across the nation are passing resolutions calling for a constitutional amendment for congressional term limits.

Courage, determination, and patriotism best describes Chris Ekstrom who built a thriving real estate enterprise from the ground up. He is a successful entrepreneur and President of Ekstrom Properties, which is commercial real estate firm focusing on warehousing and storage. He has developed significant expertise in our country’s goods and delivery distribution systems.
Before venturing out on his own, Ekstrom worked at Cable Com which employed 5000 construction workers throughout the United States. During his tenure, Ekstrom was instrumental in revolutionizing their digital technology construction buisness. Ekstrom frequently managed special projects that intersected with local politics. This sparked a desire to get involved as a political activist & donor.
Having built a business from scratch, Ekstrom saw firsthand the inefficiencies and blocking of the entrepreneurial spirit by our local, state and federal governments. Never being one to sit on the sidelines, Ekstrom became politically active hoping to solve the many problems plaguing our nation.
In 2020, he ran for Congress in Texas 13th Congressional District, encompassing Amarillo and Wichita Falls, and proudly signed the U.S. Term Limits pledge. While he was not successful, Ekstrom developed a strong presence in Texas as a conservative leader. He has served as the Texas State Chair for U.S. Term Limits, Chairman for the Courageous Conservatives PAC and a member of the National Rifle Association.
In 2024, Ekstrom moved the headquarters of Ekstrom Properties to Florida to help care for his elderly parents.
Ekstrom was born in Columbia, Missouri. He is avid reader and golfer.
