Big News In Florida!

WE DID IT! We passed our bill, SM 630, through the Senate Rules Committee and the House Local and Federal Affairs in the Florida State Legislature. Not only did we get the bill passed two committees today, it passed unanimously! We have one more committee to get through and the bill goes to a vote on the floor.

First, let us say thank you so much for your support, we couldn’t have made it this far without you. Your support and commitment to this important issue has been invaluable. We are working very hard to make sure that we can put term limits on Congress but it simply wouldn’t be possible without the overwhelming support this issue has from all of you!

We also want to say a very big thank you to all the members of the Rules Committee and the Local and Federal Affairs Committee who voted for this important bill. This is clearly something that is supported across party lines and important to all Americans. The last Gallup poll conducted on this issue showed that 75% of American’s support putting term limits on Congress and now we are that much closer to reaching our goal.

Those who voted on this issue today in the Florida State Legislature are already term limited themselves, and thus this bill will not have any impact on them and their service to Florida.

BUT we have not crossed the finish line yet! We need to keep up the pressure. We need your help through the next few stages because this is going to be a tough fight.

Once again thank you for being part of our team! Here is to the next vote being as successful!

Best,
