Jackie Auringer Signs U.S. Term Limits Pledge –
Committing to Term Limits on Congress
Kingston, NY — Jackie Auringer, candidate for Congress in New York’s 18th Congressional District, signed the U.S. Term Limits Congressional Pledge on Friday, October 9, publicly committing to support an amendment imposing term limits on members of Congress.
By signing the pledge, Auringer will commit to support, cosponsor and vote for the U.S. Term Limits Amendment of three (3) two-year terms in the House and two (2) six-year terms in the Senate.
“Public service should be about serving your community, not building a lifelong career and home in Washington,” said Auringer. “Congress was never intended to be a permanent home for professional politicians. We need fresh perspectives, greater accountability and representatives who remember who they work for,” Jackie Auringer.
U.S. Term Limits Northeast Regional Director, Debra Childs, says “Jackie Auringer is demonstrating that term limits are not just something candidates talk about on the campaign trail—they are willing to make a commitment to the voters. “We are pleased to welcome Jackie to the growing number of candidates across the country who are pledging to support congressional term limits.”
