New Poll: 81% of Idaho Voters Support Term Limits on Congress
Boise, ID – A new poll of registered Idaho voters conducted by RMG Research on January 2-6, 2025 found an overwhelming 81% favor term limits for Congress. This reflects sentiments in favor of congressional term limits in other states as well. The poll showed that 74% of Idahoans would want their state senator and state representative to favor legislation calling for a convention to propose congressional term limits.
The poll also reveals that 74% of voters would be more likely to vote for a candidate who supported congressional term limits. In recent elections, it has become evident that candidates who do not support term limits have become vulnerable to those candidates who do.
Idaho State Chair for U.S. Term Limits Ron Crane says, “Term limits will help end career politicians and make Congress work better for all Americans and get our government functioning again.”
Support for congressional term limits was broad-based among all political affiliations and demographics.
The survey was conducted January 2-6, 2025 by RMG Research, Inc. with a margin of sampling error, +/- 4.3 percentage points.
