Rep. Josh Tanner Receives Plaque for Signing U.S. Term Limits Pledge
Boise, ID — Idaho State Representative Josh Tanner (district 14B) has received recognition for supporting a Term Limits Amendment on Congress. The U.S. Term Limits Pledge commits Tanner to cosponsor, vote for, and defend a resolution that applies for an Article V convention with the sole purpose of enacting term limits on Congress.
Shanna Chamblee, U.S. Term Limits Legislative Director, presented Tanner with a plaque at the Idaho State Capitol in Boise. Chamblee commended Tanner’s commitment to this reform, which empowers state legislatures to propose a Congressional Term Limits Amendment under Article V of the U.S. Constitution.
Over ten fellow legislators have also pledged support for the amendment. This reflects the strong bipartisan support for term limits in Idaho, as confirmed by the latest poll conducted by RMG Research. The poll shows that 85% of Republicans, 89% of Democrats, and 85% of Independents approve of placing term limits on members of Congress.
It’s important to note that for the amendment to be ratified, it must be proposed by Congress or states at a national convention and then approved by 38 of the 50 states.
