WHO:

U.S. Term Limits is the largest grassroots term limits advocacy group in the country. We connect term limits supporters with their legislators and work to pass term limits on all elected officials, particularly on the U.S. Congress. Find out more at termlimits.org.

WHAT:

U.S. Term Limits volunteers will gather for a day of grassroots lobbying of state legislators in support of HCR61, the bi-partisan resolution in support of the states proposing the term limits on Congress amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

WHEN:

10:30am – 3pm Friday, January 17, 2020

WHERE:

West Virginia State Capitol
1900 Kanawha Blvd E, Charleston, West Virginia 25305

The group will meet inside the capitol in the rotunda on the 2nd floor just outside the Senate chamber doors. This will be followed by a day of speaking with legislators to gain their support of the resolution.

WHY:

It is the duty of the states to step in to control a dysfunctional Congress. It is the obligation of the citizens to assure they do. Term limits will help restore Congress to a citizen legislature and help bring dignity and progress back to our federal legislative body.

RSVP:

Interested activists, supporters and media outlets may sign up here: https://termlimits.com/wvcapday2020/

Open to public. Press welcome.

What's your reaction?

U.S. Term Limits is the largest nonpartisan, nonprofit organization advocating solely on term limits. Our mission is to improve the quality of government with a citizen legislature that closely reflects its constituency & is responsive to the needs of the people it serves.
